Dr. Wiesenborn has been the Medical Director of BCESD-3 EMS (and before its inception, Manvel EMS) since March 2017. Under his direction BCESD-3 EMS personnel practice under some of the most aggressive and advanced treatment protocols in the state; allowing citizens and visitors to our service area to receive state-of-the-art medical care in an emergency.

An alumnus of nearby Pearland High School, Dr. Wiesenborn graduated from Texas A&M University in May 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science and a minor in Business Administration. He completed his doctor of medicine (MD) in June 2006 at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Afterwards he completed a residency program in Emergency Medicine at Memorial-Hermann Hospital.

While furthering his education, he’s worked as a 911 Dispatcher and EMT for a variety of area agencies both in his hometown of Pearland, Texas and at Texas A&M University.

Dr. Wiesenborn currently practices Emergency Medicine in the Houston Methodist Hospital system. He’s board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Dr. Wiesenborn lives in the area with his wife and two children.
