At this month’s Community Engagement Committee meeting, community members had the opportunity to hear from BCESD3’s new Chief Fire Administrator, Cedric D. Patterson, MBA, FSEDI.

Chief Patterson introduced himself, shared highlights from his more than 30 years in the fire service, and discussed his vision for the future of BCESD3. He also spent time answering questions from members of the community.

Chief Patterson brings extensive fire service and leadership experience to the District, most recently serving as District Fire Chief for U.S. Navy District 3 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In his new role, he will work alongside BCESD3 leadership and our partner fire departments to support operational readiness, training, recruitment, leadership development, and long-range planning.
