Rosharon Fire Department’s 41st Annual Barbecue and Auction on Saturday, October 30th

The community is invited to the Rosharon Fire Department’s 41st annual Barbecue and Auction on Saturday, October 30th (rain or shine) at the Rosharon Fire Department located at 16435 FM 521.

Grilled pork steak plates are available for $10 per plate and there will be a raffle.  Lunch starts at 11 a.m. and the auction begins at 12:00 p.m.

“The RVFD’s barbecue and auction is a great event for the entire family and offers the community an opportunity to meet and thank the volunteer first responders who serve tirelessly to keep everyone safe,” said RVFD Chief Joe Stepchinsky.

For over 75 years the Rosharon Volunteer Fire Department (RVFD) has protected the lives, homes and businesses in and around Rosharon thanks to the generous donations from people like you. RVFD is staffed completely by volunteers who answer the call 24 hours per day and 365 days per year.

Although RVFD receives funding from Brazoria County Emergency Services District No. 3, the department still relies on additional funding from private and corporate donations. The funds received at our 41st annual fundraiser will be used to provide the department’s volunteer first responders with opportunities for advanced training, lifesaving equipment, and modern protective gear.

The RVFD is a 501(c)(3) so all donations are tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to the Rosharon Volunteer Fire Department or you may contribute at www.rosharonvfd.org.

RVFD is currently recruiting new volunteers. No experience is necessary, and the department will provide free training and equipment. More information is available by visiting www.rosharonvfd.org or visiting the department on Tuesday nights at 7 p.m.
